The starting point for this 19 mile ride is the car park at Feshiebridge.  Cross over the bridge and up the bank on the right is a spacious car park.
Use OS Map 35 plus Trailmaps - Strathspey Map 3

This is an anytime ride - it is at its most spectacular when the autumn colours flood the glen with golden tones.
From the car park turn right on the road and head off past the turnings for Loch Insh & Kincraig.  There are some superb views along this road looking north & south at the mountains down the A9 and across the Insh Marshes. Continue along the road, through Insh and eventually you will come to the turning on your left for Drumguish (after 5.5 miles).  As an extension you may wish to continue a couple of miles to the RSPB observation hides before retracing your steps to this turning.
Climb the lane to Drumguish and continue straight on into the forest (through a couple of gates).  This is a lovely off-road climb and before long the mountains come into view ahead of you. You then get a lovely swoop down the forest trail, through Corarnstilbeg Farm before reaching Glen Feshie.  This section is about 4.5 miles of off-road.
Turn left now along the road leading back to Feshiebridge. Pass the turning for Ballintean and continue up the hill to Uath Lochans.  There are picnic benches here so a nice place for a rest.
Note that there are trails around here but apparently it is a fragile area around the Lochans, so it's best not to bike here.
The Strathspey Maps give information about this.
It is well worth leaving your bikes here and taking the walking trails up above Uath Lochans.  The views from the crags and the viewpoint at the very top are spectacular, especially in autumn.

Retrace your steps down the hill and turn left to the pretty hamlet of Ballintean.  This short off-road section takes you up above the glen past a lovely new timber home and across the fields.  There are lovely views and colours all around in autumn.
Continue on this trail until you come to Feshiebridge, where you turn left back up to the carpark.

Variation {1}
Upon reaching Glen Feshie, turn right and continue for a couple of miles until you reach a cottage on your right.  Here this section of forest ends and there are some great views. Continue until you come to the bridge crossing on your left then cut back across the field to Auchlean.  If you don't fancy wading, retrace your steps but if the river is low enough cross it and continue on some lovely single track until you reach the road at Auchlean.
Follow the road past the gliding airfield & Lagganlia until you reach a road junction.  Turn left and you are back in Feshiebridge.

Other Variations: There are lots of off-road trails in the forest - see Trailmaps - Starthspey Map 3 so you can extend your ride by playing about on them or choose other routes off the sheet.
You can also extend it by starting from Inverdruie, adding 5 miles each way to your ride.

On the drive or ride back to Aviemore, as a special treat, call in for chocolate cake and coffee at the Inshriach Nurseries, where a big surprise will await you (we won't spoil it).
