Welcome to the Secular or Non-Christian music downloads page.

You'll find a variety of styles here, with tracks spanning quite a few years.  Indeed, the Cafhere's Walle (Caverswall) tracks were recorded entirely in midi - see the equipment pages for more details.
My favourite style of music, as mentioned elsewhere, is Berlin School and especially 1970's Tangerine Dream style - the pioneers of synthesiser music.  You'll find a few of these tracks included.
The Starchaser Project was a collaboration between myself and Chris Werner from Germany.  We wrote the tracks over the internet and didn't actually meet until months later!  I'd always wanted to do a full-on Tangerine Dream style track and Chris Werner helped me to achieve that with "Observing Mars" - thanks Chris. Two of the tracks are included here.
I hope that you enjoy some or all of the music featured on this page.

Please feel free to download any of the music tracks on this site.  Keep looking in too as these pages will be added to and changed as I write new tracks or swap some of these for others that I've written.

Music - Scripture Notes
Before it Ends
Sad and haunting tale of the last survivor of a spaceship and her last thoughts before the air runs out.  Mellotrons, choir samples, Pulsar Modular Synthesiser and lots of sequencers.  I overcooked the mix in places, but I like the track a lot.

Leaving Middle Earth
{new to the web Nov 2009}
A softer, sequencer & mellotron based track.  Imagine the elves in misty forests on their final journey to leave Middle Earth

Passing Pluto
Spacey and moody, this was our first track that we wrote together.  It got lots of great reviews from all over the world.  Part space music, part ambient and part Berlin School.  Sequencers, mellotron flutes and lots of awesome effects from Chris - a master of mixing and mastering.

Observing Mars
Our 2nd track.  I based this on "Mars" from the Planet Suite by Gustav Holst.  Pulsing Sequencers, Berlin School style.  Lots of Mellotron strings and a superb bit of engineering from Chris again.  This was the track I always wanted to write, and would never have done it without Chris.
Again, this got masses of praise and a big following from around the world.  One composer/ musician/ engineer from America said "you guys give machines and computers souls!"
I did all the sequencing on Scope Modular Synths and the Mellotron strings came from my trusty JV-1080.  The ending leaves you wanting more.

Quite a few years ago I did a ten-track album project about the history of a village called Caverswall.  All done in midi, with no effects, audio, samples or anything like that, I include 3 tracks from it here.  Space doesn't allow me to give you the historic background to each track or the project unfortunately, so just enjoy them for what they are - 2 medieval/rustic tracks and an ambient/spacey one.

Settlers, Soldiers & Crooks
Gentle with acoustic guitars, flutes, fiddle, strings etc.  I still like this track a lot.

Cafhere's Walle
Gentle with piano, strings, a string quartet and Enya-esque choir swells.  I still like this track a lot.

My tribute to David Tennant, Billie Piper, Catherine Tate et al - blatant copyright infringement!

Sunlit River
{new to the web Nov 2009}
A gentle track inspired by meandering rivers, streams and waterfalls as the sun glinted on the peaty Scottish water.
