Every singer/ songwriter/ composer has "unfinished symphonies" - tracks that were never quite completed, or sort of completed.
Indeed, in a recent documentary Brian Eno said he had over 1000 unfinished tracks or "doodles" on his computer.
This may be
for a variety of reasons:
The track was started, but didn't go in the direction planned.
The inspiration for the story line was lost
due to moving onto something else.
The track was completed, but the composer couldn't quite decide that it was complete.
They may have
been a trial run or research for something bigger.
Anyone involved in music and reading this will understand what I mean.
Well,
I have lots of these tracks lying about, half finished, on my hard disk drives.
Having got frustrated by them, lost the plot with them
etc etc, I prayed about it and realised that in fact they DO have worth and can be used to bless people without having to pick up
the inspirational threads again. They needed a bit of TLC and then completing in a simple fashion. So, these experimental
short electronica tracks or "tone poems" can be used in services, drama, worship, for dance, housegroups, contemplation before Bible
study and lots of other things - it's up to you the listener. If the mood of the piece means something else to you, other than the
title I've given it - fine. Please use it or them as you see fit, as long as my hours of labour can be used for the Lord.
