Great Britain has some of the most beautiful scenery and lighting of anywhere in the world.
Whether it be a windswept beach in the
Outer Hebrides, a wild Scottish Loch or Highland scene, the Peak District, the Pennines, the Welsh Mountains, Lake District and more
places too numerous to mention, Britain has it all and "Yes", it is Great.
The west coast of Scotland is renowned for its sunsets.
Kirkcudbright in Dumfries & Galloway (southwest Scotland) is renowned for its lighting - an artist's paradise. I could ramble
on forever!
As an artist I love to capture the moods of land, sky & water. Using watercolour as a medium and "feeling" the washes
and details as they are applied so often takes me back to the time when I first saw the scene, took the photos and promised myself
that I would capture the moment in paint.
